In general, we do NOT recommend reusing coupons due to complications, inconsistencies, and complaints arise when previously issued coupons are revised and reissued.
DO NOT REISSUE if the original coupon issued used a hard EXP date that has already passed.
- Changing the EXP date of an expired coupon changes it FOR ALL of the previously issued coupons.
- Coupons that were not redeemed previously will be given the new EXP date.
- This could result in some people having 2 or more of the same coupon available for redemption.
DO NOT REISSUE if the original coupon had specific dates written into the descriptions.
- Changing the description of a coupon changes it FOR ALL of the previously issued coupons.
- Since the original coupon that was issued no longer contains the original content, this can result in confusion and complaints
For these reasons, we advise against reissuing coupons unless they meet certain criteria:
- It was issued with a Dynamic EXP that is not going to change.
- The coupon description does not reference a hard EXP date or the EXP date is inserted using ~expires~
